An official of a drug trafficking organization in Camden has admitted to conspiring to distribute over a kilogram of heroin, over 280 grams of crack cocaine and unspecified amounts of cocaine and fentanyl.
US attorney Philip Sellinger says Juan Figueroa, 24, of Camden, pleaded guilty in Camden Federal Court on Wednesday.
Figueroa admitted that he acted as director of the drug trafficking organization based in the 400-500 block area of Pine Street in Camden. He also acted as a “middleman”, supervising and directing others involved in the distribution of controlled substances. He supplied drugs to his conspirators and collected the drug proceeds.
Seventeen other members of the organization have already pleaded guilty in this case. Charges against another defendant, Christopher Vasquez, remain pending and his trial is expected to begin in July.
The charge to which Figueroa pleaded guilty could land him in prison up to 10 years to life and he faces a fine of up to $10 million.
Judgment is scheduled for October 11.
